Grand Theatre

Previous Next

The Vitrolite Specialist in action on the largest Vitrolite installation since the early 1950s. The facade at the Grand Theatre, in Grand Island, NE. is 1650 sq. ft. and is being covered with glass produced recently by Bullseye Glass Co. of Portland, OR. This facade, installed by Tim Dunn and Hank Falkenberg, is a classic design similar to the Ritz Theatre in Talledega, AL. Jade Green, Cream and Black with an outstanding set of etched medallions and lines is everything a theatre would want in Art Deco design and craftsmanship.

Congratulations to the Board of the Grand Theatre for bringing this project to fruition. Also, a special thanks to the people at Lacy Contruction of Grand Island for their immense assistance and support to the Vitrolite Specialist for without their support this project would have been impossible.

This is a great day for Art Deco and single screen, Downtown theatres everywhere!!!!!!!!
