TIMOTHY DUNN of Vitrolite Specialist, based out of St. Louis, restores the Vitrolite on the front of the historic Gibson building, 211 W. College Ave., in downtown Appleton on Tuesday. Vitrolite is structural pigmented glass that was popular in the 1920s to 1940s. Dunn is considered one of the country's foremost authorities on the repair and restoration of Vitrolite. He has been salvaging and repairing it full time since 1997.
